An exciting opportunity has arisen within Surrey Heath Borough Council which merges investigation skills across a number of service areas:

You will be working as part of a small team whose main purpose is to carry out reactive and proactive investigations across a wide range of Council services

As a Senior Corporate Enforcement Officer, your main duties will be to investigate allegations of planning breaches and various environmental breaches, i.e. fly tipping, littering, dog fouling and abandoned vehicles.

You should have experience of conducting formal PACE interviews, investigating and preparing case files to prosecution standard and where appropriate, attending court to give evidence

You will be required to undertake investigations into complex planning enforcement cases and to be the lead officer in preparing and issuing enforcement notices and Stop Notices.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of planning enforcement, ideally in a Local Government establishment. You should have good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to work under pressure.
