Senior Corporate Enforcement Officer
2 year fixed term contract
Hours: 37 per week
Salary Range: £34,680 - £39,000
Grade: SH06
Are you experienced in enforcement, particularly planning and looking for a new or developmental challenge? If so, you might be the person for us.
Surrey Heath is a thriving district combining a large area of Green Belt, with environmentally important heathland areas and rural villages with a growing urban area in the west of the Borough
You will be part of a small, forward thinking team whose main purpose is to carry out reactive and proactive investigations across a wide range of Council services
You will have a diplomatic approach to resolving sensitive issues, and be able to work well under pressure. Along with great communication skills, you will ideally have experience working within Local Government.
You will be part of a team that has a very broad remit. Your main duties will be to investigate allegations of planning breaches as well as environmental breaches such as fly tipping, littering. You will be part of a team that manages Unauthorised Encampments when they occur within the Borough. Ideally, you will have experience of conducting formal interview PACE interviews, preparing prosections files and attending court.
